We were a group of three young girls (different ethnic backgrounds) and we had no issue travelling on our own. The staff was great and the people of Kyoto were also kind and willing to help us out. The property was close to many cultural places, most known being the Imperial Palace. In a four night stay we visited ten temples and some! The staff was very, very helpful and great communicators (may it be from the moment we booked through Booking and even after the stay). The property is surrounded by a lot of green spaces, we enjoyed our morning and nightly strolls around. The guest lounge was very cool and relaxing. The amenities to our disposal were useful and our room was comfortable. The access to the rooftop was had a curfew until 9pm but you can still enjoy the sun rising and setting. The hotel was close to many bus stops and subway station. In less than a half hour, you could reach all Kyoto quite swiftly. For non-Japanese speakers, don’t worry. Learning some sentences will have many people help you when you are in need! It was a delight making acquaintances and having (short but thoughtful) conversations / intellectual exchanges with the locals.

The location was great, very close to the metro and walking distance to lots of things we wanted to see in Kyoto. The hotel was also close to bus stops for the days we wanted to get out of the city. The room was comfortable for 4 of us (2 adults 2 children), but not spacious, however this didn't really matter as we were out all day. The staff gave us some great recommendations for local food places and were greatly helpful during our stay. There is a 7-eleven and a Fresco supermarket within about a 3 minute walk of the hotel which was really helpful. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants close by.

The location is perfect with peaceful and quiet neighbourhood and plenty of nice cafes and restaurants. Short walk to an underground, bus stop and the largest Imperial Palace garden. The room, bathroom, bathtub are spacious. The common area is very nice and it's thoughtful to provide us with water bottles that we can fill them by ourselves anytime.

Location is good, being near to a subway and the Imperial Palace. Also on a number of bus routes. Lots of restaurants in the area. Only choice at breakfast was a Japanese or Western set tray, but I was able to change this for a muffin and juice instead, as it is the same every day. Lounge was lovely with complimentary teas and water (hot and cold).

Friendly staff, tastefully decorated, nice room, enough space for a person, spacious bathroom, great communal room with water and tea, fridge in room, optional cleaning and replacing towels etc., close to metro station and also Kyoto train station only 3 stops away, close to tourist attractions, nice breakfast.
